Atlanta Gas Light Offering Rebates for Upgrading to HE Natural Gas Equipment
For homeowners seeking to reduce their energy consumption and lower their utility bills, upgrading to energy-efficient natural gas furnaces and water heaters has become an increasingly popular option. To help encourage this shift, The Atlanta Gas Light company has announced it will be offering rebates to those who upgrade to HE (high-efficiency) natural gas furnaces or water heaters! How much are the rebates?
The rebates vary based on exactly what you upgrade to, but you could receive $300-$400 for upgrading your natural gas furnaces and $200-$300 for upgrading your water heater.
What do you have to do to qualify for a rebate?
In order to get your rebate, you must replace your existing natural gas equipment with new energy-efficient equipment. The installation must be done by a certified Georgia licensed contractor.
How do I get the rebate?
Once you’ve had the installation completed, you have 45 days to submit installation invoice (from a Georgia licensed contractor) to Atlanta Gas Light. You can do that here.
