Henry Plumbing Awarded $11,000 WorkSource Coastal Grant to Support Employee Training

Savannah CEO recently highlighted Henry Plumbing’s continued investment in workforce development after the company was awarded an $11,000 WorkSource Coastal grant through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Incumbent Worker Training program.

The grant was awarded to help nine Henry Plumbing employees further their professional training by working toward becoming State of Georgia certified Journeymen plumbers. Funding from the grant assists with tuition, books, travel expenses, and additional costs associated with certification training.

As a fourth-generation, family-owned plumbing company serving Savannah and the Coastal Georgia region, Henry Plumbing has long emphasized continuing education and professional growth for its team members. “The WorkSource Coastal grant will provide the opportunity to nine employees to work toward their State of Georgia Journeymen Plumbing License,” Reed shared in the feature. She also noted that certification and training costs can average approximately $2,000 per employee.
