In February 2023, Tonya Reed, CFO and co-owner of Henry Plumbing, was announced as a founding advisor for the newly created Women in Plumbing & Piping (WiPP), a national nonprofit organization focused on empowering and supporting women in the plumbing and piping industries.
The organization was created to encourage more opportunities for women in the trades while promoting leadership, mentorship, education, and professional growth across the industry. As a founding advisor, Tonya joins a respected group of women leaders from across the country helping guide the organization’s mission and future direction.
For Tonya, the role is deeply personal. Growing up in Savannah, she spent much of her childhood riding alongside her father and grandfather as they served plumbing customers throughout the community. Today, she helps lead the same fourth-generation company alongside her husband Todd Reed and son Tanner Reed.
Over the years, Tonya has become a strong advocate for women in construction and the skilled trades. She has served in leadership roles with organizations like NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction) and continues working to encourage the next generation to explore careers in plumbing and construction.
